The seventh in the series of Corvina thematic guidebooks differs in that time constitutes the theme. The first six have focused on outstanding architecture, spas, handicrafts etc. in Hungary. This one is based on the premise that not everyone is free at the same time. From this springs the idea of a book to show the "best of Hungary" chronologically through the year. There is something to interest everyone, whenever they may be free. Naturally, there is more on offer in summer, but the guidebook gives details of 116 events and things worth seeing, including several in winter. Add to that a further 640, listed without details, and it is evident that there is plenty happening every month. Care has been taken to strike a balance between festivals (both cultural and gastronomic) and natural sights. Many occur at regular times, though in some cases there is significant variation of time and even of place, but everyone can find something somewhere to please them at one time or another. The text is illustrated by 350 coloured photographs, and the map and GPS co-ordinates will be useful.
